Here I am sitting on the side porch of the 146 year old house that I am very slooooowly renovating. I am in a moment of creation! HaH! Many of us create here, but I digress.
If not for you, the things you create would not exist. This is Bob and I am his creator. I made him for a friend as a gift of love. His purpose is to ride strapped to her motor scooter as her constant traveling companion.
My delightful story telling grandson. If you could see the next frame, he would turn and tell you a story about this old cabin. His mind is always creating and he loves to tell you about it. Perhaps one day he'll become a writer and we will all be changed by his creations.
This is me trying to convince Joe to grab the other rake and put down the camera. WE are creating a garden. If not for us there would be no delicious greens for our dinners. I forgot to mention, Joe did the tilling.
A neighbor of mine worked hand over foot to create this work of art. I bought it from him at his yard sale. I tried to convince him to keep it, but he said he had moved on. I proudly display it on a ledge overlooking my vegetable garden. It brings me joy each and every time I see it.
This is my oldest grandson (Yogi tea boy). He is lost in creating. Or perhaps he is contemplating how to get back at his cousin with whom he has just had a pebble fight. I chose to believe the former.
I'm often lost in the act of creating. It is only after I've completed something as simple as a good cup of tea or a scooter-riding Bob, that I realize, "This didn't exist a few moments ago!"
If not for you it wouldn't exist. So, I leave you with this quote by Martha Graham...
"There is a vitality, a life force, an energy, a quickening that is translated through you into action and because there is only one you in all time, this expression is unique. And if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium and be lost. The world will not have it. "
-Martha Graham
Have a brilliantly creative day folks!

Wow Ronnie, that was a great post :)
Besides that I am so jealous about you guys being able to wear shorts right now :D
You live in a 146 year old house? That's always been my dream!
I love Bob. I'm crazy about him.
No, Becky. Don't live there but I'd be tempted when/if it gets finished. I'm renting it right now to some folks who love it. I'll share more of that part of my life later.
I am thinking about putting in a proper veg garden this year. How wonderful to outside and pick your salad makings:)) This was a charming post:)
You have created a wonderful post Ronnie. Thanks.
Love Renee
Hey Ronnie - Your creativity knows no bounds. Very awesome. I checked out Once Upon A Bookseller (thanks for the lead) & the town of St Mary's. What an awesome place! Deb & I will be making a trip up there real soon - it looks incredible, & the fact that it's only a 90 minute drive is another big plus.
Wild horses? I always thought they were unique to Chincotegue Island in Virginia (another favorite place). I gotta send you some pics taken Sunday of Manatees & their calves staying warm in Blue Springs (about 200 of them).
Also - very cool about your grandson - the storyteller. Maybe someday I'll be reading HIS books. Dave
Thanks, Dave. If you go to St Marys, stop in Seagle's Bar in the Riverview Hotel. You'll find Cindy there bartending on weekends. That is if you want to be dressed down and humiliated! The first time I went in there with my two sisters. She walked up to our table (always wearing her house slippers) and said, "What do you Crack Wh---s want to drink?" She calls my husband D--- A--. It's a GREAT place. Nowhere else like it on Earth!
oooh what a lovely post!
I can not wait for warmer days spent in the garden again!!!

I totally know what you mean about taking our stuff and running. Everything I make is mine, and I love it, and I want to keep it forever. At the same time, I love knowing people have it and a little part of me is out there. I just found out that a little part of me is going to Hawaii, but that won't make me more tanned, but pleased that a 9 year old wants to use my bag as carry on. :)
Hello! So nice to meet you! Thanks for the birthday wishes. I think I need them right now. I love the pix of your grandson. Isn't the creativity of children so wonderful? My 5 year old comes out with things I never could have thought of in a million years. I have to admit....sometimes I steal her ideas!
Have a wonderful day!
Krissy
Thanks for the warning about Seagles Bar & Cindy in particular. I don't even want to imagine the repercussions of Deb being called a Crack ____. Well, maybe if I warned her...... She LOVES your paintings by the way.
Long time fan, first time post!
The pic. of "Bob" reminds me of the creature the older brother was turned into at the end of the movie "Weird Science"! If you haven't seen it or don't remember -I'll have to send you a link.
The pic. of Ben looks so serene and peaceful (because it's from BEHIND - I'm sure the front was jabbering a mile a minute!)
The pic. of you in the garden wasn't followed by a pic. of you throwing the pitch fork at Capt'n Joe was it??
Love the pic. of Cauley - haven't seen that one.
Hi Missy! Nice to hear from you in blogger world. You're right on all counts!
Don't remember weird science. Link away.
Hi Ronnette!
I LOVE this post too! It's beautiful, andjust what we need right now, to get us through thses dreary days of the New Year - great, the veggies will be growing soon, and we can drink our tea outside in the early morning sunshine!
Than you very much re. the suggestion of your sister for advice - If I get the job, I will definately ask to contact her, as I was RUBBISH at maths (that's why I couldn't do any more on the Tiddles fraction strip - I don't even know what they are, ha ha! (Ooh, hope the guys from the school aren't reading this!)
Take Care Ronnie, thanks for your inspiration and thoughtfulness!

All these photos were taken in either Spring, Summer or Fall. So, no, we are not wearing shorts or planting our garden yet! The garden is sleeping now but will be prepared again just after Easter when all chance of frost is gone. It will be a good day.
Lovely Post Ronnie! Ive also tagged you! There are details on my blog. Kaili x
Well, part of our house is from the 1860s, just 2 rooms of what was a little double house. Kudos to you for the work I KNOW your project will take.
Our garden patch awaits some shorts weather. But mostly it awaits the remote possibility of rain. May you have sun and rain on your veggies! And time to keep creating indoors.
Loved your post!

Ronnie, you sitting on the pot, on the porch.... well, that's made my day. Oh, I forgot, also talking on the phone. That should be a painting! But you'd need a crown.... :) ~PJ
